No Media Components in Acronis Bootable Media Builder Wizard

Thread needs solution

Acronis True Image 2010 on Windows 7 64-bit I am experiencing the issue from KnowledgeBase Article "1775: No Media Components in Acronis Bootable Media Builder Wizard". I checked the registry for the required settings & everything is correct. The KB Article 1775 says to then contact Acronis Customer Central with a screenshot of the Registry settings but that link only allows me to access the KB & Forum areas. How do I solve this issue?

(I am attaching a screen shot of the registry setttings.)

Hello Doug,

I will do everything possible in order to solve the issue with Media Builder. Try to run installation file of Acronis True Image Home 2010 and choose Repair option.

If the issue persists please download ISO image based on ISOLinux from your account under Registered Products and create Acronis bootable disc using third-party software. ISOLINUX Bootable Media is usually more up to date than the Acronis Loader one. This is due to the fact a new version of Acronis Bootable Media is uploaded to the website more frequently than regular product updates are released.

ISOLINUX Bootable Media has several boot parameters that may help overcome possible issues with booting. You can also set a specific VGA resolution in the ISOLINUX media if there an issue with the Graphical User Interface (GUI). Check the following article for more details.

Let us know the results.

I too have no media components in the bootable media wizard. There is no "Repair" option (only "Uninstall"). I am running Windows Vista Home premium. any help would be appreciated.

Guess I helped myself (see previous post) ... downloaded and installed the latest build of Home 2010 and I was able to create bootable CD.

Joe,
Normally, if you double click on the downloaded TrueImage install program, it will find the existing installation and offer a Repair; Modify; or un-install optionl If your install program does not offer such, then simply repeat a new install over the top of the existing install.
