No more Acronis

Thread needs solution

After much searching and reading, especially in these forums, I've decided that Acronis is too difficult to use and get support. Way too many problems for me and from what I read other users. I have switched to Macrium Reflect. It's not only free but has very good reviews.

I've had Acronis for many years and have had to 'fight' each and every save/restore I've done.

Good bye and good riddance.

Interesting... I've never had any issues getting Acronis to answer support requests for the few times I've posted an issue. I've used Acronis from version 6 through ATIH2011 with almost all the versions in between. Acronis has saved my bacon on numerous occasions through both hardware and software failures. I recently did some testing on Acronis backup/verify times and I find them to be very close to my actual system file copy times.

It's not perfect software and it can't be due to the wide variety of other software and hardware configurations Acronis has to deal with, but it's pretty darn good, in my book. I know everyone has their own experiences though, so I hope that free product works out for you.

I'm basically fed up as well, just echoing the sentiment, and I WILL be posting my own more detailed account, when I have time, of why Acronis is losing me as a customer after over 5 years of loyal use (both Home and Enterprise products.)
