Thread needs solution

Hi there,

recently I updated Home 2012, the actual Build is 5545.
Starting the prog I see the partitions already backed up in the past.

I clicked "BACKUP NOW" but nothing happens. The same to all of the partitions. Also the validation procedure can not be run.

So what can I do?

Hello BGoode,

Welcome to our Forum, it's nice to have you with us. I understand your concern, and would like to assist you with it.

It's hard to say for sure what went wrong due to the lack of sufficient diagnostic information, it looks like some drivers conflict, but without logs we cannot localize which ones. So we'll need some additional data. Could you please send us

  1. Procmon
  2. Acronis Info

from the problem machine? This data must help us to find the solution.

As a workaround I can also suggest you to reinstall the software:

  1. Run the Cleanup on the problem machine in order to delete all traces of the current installation
  2. Temporary disable any third party protection software like antiviruses, firewall, another backup solution
  3. Install the software

This might solve the driver issue.

Let us know if you have any questions, we will be glad to help.

Thank you.

Hello Yana,

thanks a lot for your answer.

Following your suggestion I run cleanup, rebooted and installed the build 5545 from Acro site.

I also tried to add my "old" backupfiles to the list in Acronis. By now no "Backup Now" option is available.

What is left to do?

When you just add existing TIB files to the list of backups, there are not active tasks. You have to click on the gear menu and choose recreate backup settings to make them an "active" task. Then the backup now button will reappear.

What do you mean by 'gear menu'? I only found 'Backup settings: import' in the register 'Tools'.

(May be my mind went blank :-))

When he says "Gear Menu" he means the little icon with a picture of a gear, its on the top right of the picture you attached.

Hi Pete and Pat L,

thanks for your answers.

No recreation of BU-files available. Click on the small gear-box is prompted by a pull down menu with the options

- show log-file
- integrate TrueImage into Windows
- CEP and
- setup timelimit.

Any idea what to do?
