Nonstop Won't Restart!

Thread needs solution

I created a Nonstop backup to back up a partition on my laptop. The nonstop image is on a USB3-connected 3-terabyte drive. When I'm at home, my laptop is secured in a docking station to which the USB drive is attached. Consequently, when I remove the laptop from the docking station, True Image no longer has access to the USB drive. Typically, once the laptop is replaced, True Image is able to resume. Lately, however, True Image always starts with the nonstop backup stopped. When I press the play button, the backup acts like it's starting - including messages about calculating the remaining time - then it stops. The stop button is depressed and the date remains unchanged. Each time I press the play button, the cycle is repeated. I guess I could delete it and create a new one, but I'd like to figure out how to get it to work. What do I have to do to get this backup running continuously again - that is, the play button remains depressed until I change it?

Remember that Non Stop Backup (NSB) requires some period of time to consolidate the slices of information it collects periodically. If NSB cannot perform the daily consolidation, it will try whenever possible. If the consolidation is overdue, NSB cannot continue to create new slices and it stops.
