Not all disks are listed in backup source screen

Thread needs solution

I have C as the OS disk with programs etc. A second disk is E and is a data disk. Trying to backup this data disk and it is not listed. The C disk is listed twice. I am confused!

How is "E" connected? What kind of drive is it? What file system is it using? Are you using the Acronis bootable disk or running 2012 from within Windows?

If you have not named your drives, I would strongly suggest that you do, It can help to identify the drive when you need to do a restore or other functions.

To name your drives,
Right click on drive C and choose properties and change the volume name. I like to include the Windows drive letter as part of the name, such as
Win7_C
Do the same for Drive D, such as
Data_D

The E drive is a slave to the C drive. No OS on E just data susch as pictures.
I am runing Acronis 2012 on Windows 7 Home Premium.
