Online Backup Trial limits and time lag?

I figgered I'd try the online backup -- finally. So I signed I and got the serial number for the month trial.

But I only see 5 gigs of space available, and when I started the first attempt, it ran for ½ hour and did nothing but count off time.

Is that what is supposed to happen, or am I doing something wrong here?
