Open datastream failure ATI 2011 Home

Thread needs solution

May I ask for urgent assistance by the community ( or even Acroniy personel ?):
Imagine the following scenarion which worked fine for a couple of version chain updates:

File/Directory backup task ( weekly schedule) to backup a NAS to another (dedicated backup-)NAS.
NASs do have drive letter assigned via Netdrive (ftp-access).
All worked ok until further version chain backups did not complete.
We assumed that this was due to the fact the PC (Laptop) was moved for outside office work and never managed to come back long enough to complete futher backups.

Now the scenario has been moved to a different PC, but we are not able to create even the base archive. After 4 Hrs task ends with error to 'open datastream'.
The following has been checked:
- latest build used 6857
- drive assignments
- user access rights to both source and target ( admin rights granted, full access to all directories)
- diskspace on target ( expected 50 GB needed)

As a guess we now are running a test on a third PC, which has more space available on its C:-Drive for temporary files ( as PC2 had only 1.5 GB free)

Suggestions are welcome, remote access can be granted to support personel if necessary, need 30 mins. of travelling onsite.

Follow up:
Together with Arcronis Support ( Live Chat) we were successful in running the backup job with no error indication if we use full UNC-naming for the target, eg. \\ip.adress\directory\subdirectory instead of using a mapped drive.
However we are still not sure, whether this resulted in a full backup, as size of resulting .tib is only 20% of earlier backups ( 8GB vs. 34 GB), subsequent version chain backups are of about the same size.
During backup-process calculated size of 42 GB is indicated, NAS shows content metering of 47 GB
Will watch this issue...............
