Hi,
I have a fresh install of windows 7 64 on my main PC. It has a 500gb sata dive using ntfs with about 100gb free. I planned to back up this harddrive on to my removable drive which is also 500gb. The removable drive got damaged so I bought a 1TB drive with the intention of using this new drive for my computer and the 500gb in my computer for removable storage. So basically I would like to transfer my fresh install of windows 7 on a 500GB HD to a 1TB HD can someone please provide me the steps if it is even possible?

You only need to mount your new drive as an external, using a caddy of some sort. Boot to your Rescue Media CD and clone the internal to the external. Then swap the drives around.
