I am presently running Acronis True Image Home 2010 on a Windows 7, 64 bit, laptop. I may have to wipe out my hard drive due to a previous crash. I have a full completel backup from before the crash. Is it possible to put on a new operating system and restore the applications from this backup? PLEASE REPLY VIA EMAIL to

Thank you for finding time to join us and open a thread regarding this scenario, I will be glad to address it.

Unfortunately it is not possible to restore the applications onto the dissimilar OS, as any application needs to properly assign it's drivers to the hard drive and leave necessary traces in the registry, and this can be achieved only during the installation.
