Does this happen every time you shutdown?
I had this same exact situation just yesterday.
I did a manual shutdown because the Acronis program shell was not responding to my input and I wanted to go on.
What I think was happening: a backup /validate/"setting change" was started and still running in background and had not completed. Eventually it shutdown all by itself, after the operation completed.

I hesitate to turn machine off when I get these "in-progress"messages on a shutdown, as the disk may be writing critical information.

Not every time i shut down but when it does happen it just sits there and never turns off.

Do you have a fix for it?
Thanks
Steve

Not a fix for your specific problem, but this fixed an issue where the
backup list was continuously "collapsing/expanding," no matter how
I changed the view on a w7 machine.

The "generic" support tip was to run repair/install CD option for acronis ti 2013:

1) Login to your acronis account and download build 5551 of ti 2013.
(I had build 5551 on my new install CD, so I did not need download step.
After step#2, I ran setup/autoplay from the original acronis install CD)

2) Open the task mgr and kill all acronis processes listed in top table of this article:

http://kb.acronis.com/content/34869
(I had only first three procs running at the time, your install may vary)

3) Disable anti-virus software.

4) Run the downloaded acronis program or the original acronis install CD disk and select repair option.

5) Assuming successful repair, Reboot for good measure

That fixed that one issue with the "flashing" backup list screen problem.
