Partition deleted by Acronis during recovery, what to do?

Thread needs solution

Hi,

I upgraded to windows 10, but the availability of the drivers was very poor. I then used acronis true image home to recover to windows 7 again with the backup i've made before the upgrade to win10.

I must have done something wrong, (never had that before with acronis though) but now my e-partition is completely deleted and added to the c-partition. Tried 3 free recovery tools but without succes, the partition can't be found. What can i do to recover the partition?

My partition setup was like this:
1) System partition C: (244,1 gb)
2) Driver partition D: (39,5 gb)
3) Multimedia partition E: (466,4 gb (estimated)

On drive E were a lot of pictures, but most important an enormous important document on which i've worked for 2 hours.

Any ideas on this?

You didn't say what version of Acronis you used under Windows 7, but I'll assume its ATI2014 or earlier. With that, what I would do is boot up the recovery disk, and restore just the C: partition and have it make it the 244gb. Then I would the same for the D: partition and then finally the E: partition.

I was lucky! I ran Testdrive all day long and it did find all the files, can really recommend this program to anyone!

I'm now going to recover them and re-partition the c-disk.

If what you meant was TestDisk.... http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk

This is what I use and recommend for anyone who doesn't have complete or valid back ups of their data.
