Why does a Partion Image take approximatels 3-4 times the giga bytes to complete the saved file ? Back-up doesn't seem to have as many bytes ????

It may help if you post which version of TI you're using, what you are backing up, the sizes of the backup files, as well as exactly what type of backup you mean when you say "Back-up".

If you're backing up a partition and it seems too large for the used data amount, check the partition for any file system errors. Also, check the log and see if TI is switching to Sector-by-Sector mode.
