PC damaged and all backups damaged

Thread needs solution

Dear all,
I have relied on Acronis for my backups. I make them on a USB-drive. When building up my new PC i made regular backups. I had 6 full backups. Now the time has come that i need to restore my PC.I have started form the acronis startup disk. There is only 1 backup visible. When trying to restore that one i received the message 'Backup is damaged, cannot be restored'There is a possibility to look for other backups. I saw all six of them. But not a single can be restored. So now i have some kind of a problem.
Before that i made backups to my Synology Ext3 server system. Found out soon enough that restoring was impossible. That why i switched to USB-disk.
So now i wonder, can Acronis only be restored from DVDs?
I have a raid 0SATA Raptor systeem. Can Acronis make restores to raid-0 disk systems.
I need to know this before i start to rebuild my PC. I have cannnot rely on Acronis then the investment in money and time is a certain waist.
I use Windows 7 64bits home edition.

Thanks for any reply.

I think you will find that most users use external drives to hold the Backups - I do, both USB and eSata types.

Sorry to hear you have problems

What version of TI did you make the backups with and what version did you try to restore with?
Were they validated when you made them

As DwnNDrty says most posters use external drives to hold Backups.
