Plus Pack Installation error - Another version already installed

Thread needs solution

I am getting an error trying to install the Plus Pack for TI Home 2011 v14.0.0.6597 - See attached screen shot. I have uninstalled/reinstalled ATI home 2011 v14.0.0.6597 multiple times & cleaned up everything in sight I could find in addition to downloading & running the latest cleanup utility. The versions of ATI Home 2011 & ATI Home Plus Pack are identical. Note that in the screen shot I've provided that if I click on the "View Log" button nothing happens except that it returns me to the main installation screen for installing the Plus Pack. I have ran Registry cleaners(Registry Mechanic), manually searched the registry & my system drive for anything I could find that even looked like ATI or the plus pack to no avail. Please note: I am not a newbie. I've been a developer for 37 years now.

My environment is;
- Win 7 x64(all available updates applied)
- Acronis True Image Home & Plus Pack version 14.0.0.6597.

Any suggestion/resolution on this issue would be much appreciated. I'm at the end of my rope :>).

Thanks, Jim

You might try un-installing the Plus Pack. It is listed in the registry under the P. As it is not with the A's, it is easily missed. Download the current file again (in case something is wrong with it) and then install again.

What are you talking about "It is listed in the registry under the P. As it is not with the A's" ?? What do you mean? As for uninstalling, it's not installed now. That's what I'm trying to do in the 1st place & I'm getting the error I described. See the screen shot attachment in my original post.

Thanks, Jim

My apologies. I used the word Registry when I should have said "look in the Add/Remove programs" under P.

The error message implied you had a version which needed to be removed.

If you are not able to resolve, you may need to contact support and they should be able to give you some items inside the Registry which can be deleted. You could also use the Acronis cleanup utility. Link is inside my signature below.
