Plus Pack trial?

Thread needs solution

Hello all,

Is there a way to test the Plus pack? I need to backup-restore from my old machine to my new one and it's a totally different machine. So I need the "Dissimilar Hardware" feature of the Plus pack.

After wasting several hours with Norton Ghost 15 (check the forums: "Dissimilar Hardware" is not one of its strong features, to put it politely), I'm wondering if it's even possible to transfer a boot partition to a different machine and have it work?

Specs:
- Windows XP SP3
- 120GB (40GB in use) boot partition transferred to 64GB SSD on an different machine
- only one partition so it's relatively straightforward, no hidden or recovery partitions

So my question is: can I test if this would work before paying for the Plus pack? Hard to spend $80 without even knowing if it's going to work.

Hello jukendo,

Welcome to our Forum, we're glad to greet you here! I understand your concern, and will be glad to address it.

Unfortunately there's no trial version for Plus Pack available. However if you purchase it, and it doesn't work for you, you will be able to return the software within 30 days after purchase period.

I would also recommend you to check this detailed Acronis Universal Restore Guide with the step-by-step screenshots, you may find it useful, and it will lead you through the process.
