Precision touchpad problem with Rescue Media- WORKAROUND
I have build number 6613. I have an Acer E15 (ES1-512c59L) laptop which has a precision touch pad. Whenever I boot from my rescue media - standard or winPE the touchpad does not work. This cannot be fixed with the 'usb mouse not recognised' solution as was suggested by support.
The workaround is to temporarily change the touch pad setting in BIOS from 'advanced' to 'basic'. Remember to change it back again BEFORE rebooting to windows or none of the mouse gestures/scrolling will work. I forgot at first and Windows took quite some time to recognise it properly even after I had re-enabled 'advanced' which was a bit scary at first but it did so eventually after some reboots.
Hope this helps anyone with a similar problem.
PS. This solved a problem in other rescue software I have too.
