Welcome,
Can you provide a little history and answer a few qurestions please.

Has Acronis been installed continiously on this machine? Was it ever removed and reinstalled?

Are you able to browse to the location where this back up image is stored?

Are you able to mount this back up image successfully?

I didn't see any articles for your error message 0x01010005+0x01010005+0x01EF0013+0x000B041D+0x00040011+0x0000FFF0+0x80070002

Except for 0x00040011... this is why I asked about uninstall/reinstall.

Suggest you run and post an Acronis System Report from the Help menu in your installed version. I don't normally recommend updating as a way to solve these types of problems until the error is investigated further. Often this only migrates the problem forward.

Unfortunately, NO. Acronis has lost its credibility. I figured out a workaround but the tech support has used dozens of hours of MY time to get nothing solved. They're awful at customer support, and lots of that has to do with how they've outsourced that support. They just don't get it.

Alan,
Could you post your workaround for this issue so that others may benefit.?

I'm afraid I don't remember what I did. Sorry. There were so many attempts to fix this issue that the whole issue is a bluir..

Hoping Acronis can shed some light on this event code. It doesnt seem to be listed in their knowledge base.

If I recall, very recently I could mount my image without issue, then suddenly started to get this message out of the blue.

Acronis please help!

Hello Alan,

Thank you for your feedback.

Please accept my apologies for your experience with Acronis support. I have forwarded your comment to our Management Team and we will get this problem addressed.

If there is anything else, we can do for you, please let me know.

Hello Wismerlish, Alan and Terminat0r,

Thank you for using Acronis True Image Home Products.

I have used your SER Code to search our Knowledge base and found this information:

Cause

The backup cannot be added to backup list if the last volume is not present in the location that you select in Browse for backup window.

Alternatively, if this is not a split backup or if all the volumes of the backup reside in the same folder and you still receive the error, this could be a corrupted backup.

Solution

When adding a backup to the backup list, select the last volume of the backup.

It is recommended to store all volumes of a backup archive in the same location.

If all of the volumes are in the same folder, then the backup is most probably corrupted. It is highly recommended that you recreate the backup and validate it.

Let me know if you need additional help please.

Thank you.

Moving back up images between different media types and locations can introduce problems occasionally. Alternatively, physical problems with a disk or media can also keep an image which mounted successfully before from mounting correctly at a later time. This is particularly true of larger image files as the odds of corruption, disk errors or read errors are increased.

Environmental variables such as hardware, memory and interface also play a role. This is not a failure of the back up solution, and illustrates the importance of performing and retaining multiple back ups as well as performing regular validation of images.

Thanks for the quick replys.

The issue I have here is I thought the idea of Acronis is to make backing up and restoring yoiur hard drive in an event of failure a simple task.

490gb of data was backed up to a single file. Now this file is inaccessible the whole 490gb of data is lost.

The hard drive this was stored on doesnt have bad sectors neither is it an external hard drive via usb that could have become corrupted by pulling the USB drive out whilst file read/writes were still in progress. The machine this operated on has been operational for the past days.

The image was created and validated and all okay.

The image was then used several times using the mount option and a few odd indiviual files were pulled from image several times.

It would appear after a few mounts of the image, its this process that knackered the .tib file.

Now its no longer mountable, retrieveable, basically cant do anything with it.

This leads me to conclusion that I may as well use standard file copy procedures to replicate date from one drive to another. At least on the off chance their is some data corruption other than a complete failed backup disk, most of my data would still be accessible wheras now I cant get at any of it.

The error reporting is very vague with the event code reported not even being listed in Acronis KB, mounting produces a different error complaining about last disk/file in the backup (this is the only one) and the article on Acronis website points to an article :

http://kb.acronis.com/content/1517?nocache=1

then within this article

http://www.acronis.com/r/support/en/kb/254/troubleshoot.corrupt.htm

which doesnt work. This has been reported to Acronis and the article still doesnt appear.

Would be nice to have a .tib file validator utility that explains what is corrupted or at least mount the image even if it does detect errors in some form so can get access to the un-corrupted data. (although it would seem it was the mount process corrupted the tib file in the first instance so that would be a good fix also)

Not particularly good experience for Acronis software for me sorry which makes me look to other alternatives for my data backup in future.

Terminat0r,
On recovery issues, Acronis advertises they will help on recovery issues even beyond your 30 days coverage. Contact them via a support ticket or Live Chat and see if they can help you recover your data.

I had the same message error when trying to restore an old image. The image was good - I had restored it in the past with previous products, but when trying to bring it in and recover it I was getting the error message 0x01010005+0x01010005+0x01E50015+0x01E5001A+0x000B041D+0x00040011+0x0000FFF0+0x80070002
Plus, the image could not be restored - it would just

What worked for me: I just closed the error message and somehow the image got accepted on the Backup and Recovery list.
Then, I mounted the image and recovered it without any further problems.

Acronis team, True Image 2014 has a serious bug and you don't do much to figure out what the problem is! The error message is too vague too...

Had the same problem on 5 workstations today the solution was to backup the images and then delete them and removed the backup profile and recreate it everything was good again and i'm getting complete backups again.
