problem with TRY & DECIDE

Thread needs solution

I had been trying ATI 2011 on Win.XP computer and everything worked fine.
After 2 weeks of probation I formated Win.XP partition and installed Win.7 x32 and ATI 2011 as well.
This time I couldn`t launch Try & decide mode, because - according to ATI pop up error information - system partition is dynamic.
It isn`t true, because I didn`t convert any drives to be dynamic.
To be absolutely sure - I checked also Disk Management Unit of my W7 : C; drive (and other drives too) are BASIC DISCS !!
I reinstalled ATI, but nothing changed -- ATI keeps saying my C; drive is dynamic and prevents me from using TRY & DECIDE mode.

Can anybody help me ? I NEED TRY & DECIDE cause I don`t want to install separate aplication for that.

Grace,

Is the acronis startup recovery manager (F11) activated? You can get this message if the ASRM is activate while you use T&D...

Grace W,
Hello... i use TI 2010 v-7046 (before that 2009 , V11 ) and have always had "Start up recovery manager " (F-11) active and it does not prevent T&D from working. As far as " Basic disks" When in disk manager, look at the next column ... And it will tell you if your Disks \ Partitions are "Dynamic" , Primary, Logical, active , etc. all of mine are listed as "Basic" but my "C:" is "primary \active " and the rest are "logical"( for data) . Try and do a "Repair " ( run TI disk or file again) Regards Fred

I am using ATI Home 2011 (6696) on a older Toshiba laptop (Satellite 1135-s1551) running XPpro SP3. I cannot use Try & Decide as it tells me my system partition is dynamic. It is not. Checked with Disk Management, says it's Basic. Double checked with the software and method mentioned at this website
http://www.wilderssecurity.com/showthread.php?t=191006
This confirms that my disk is Basic.
Acronis Startup Recovery Manager is turned off. Nonstop Backup is off. I have uninstalled and reinstalled using Windows Add/Remove Programs as well as true_image_home_cleanup.exe. No change. Try & Decide still will not work.
Try & Decide WILL work on my desktop which runs XPpro SP3. Hope Acronis can find a solution. Didn't use Try & Decide until long after my free support had expired. Thought it was complicated to set up. When I realized how easy it was I used it on my desktop and then found that my laptop wouldn't run it.
