Problems with Windows Search after installing Acronis True Image (revival)

Thread needs solution

In the Wilders Security Forum of Acronis True Image there is the thread
"Problems with Windows Search after installing Acronis True Image"

At the end of the thread Oleg Lee from Acronis posted
Hello all,
Thank you for using Acronis True Image
We will update the thread after the issue resolution.
Thank you.

After installing ATI2010 build 5.055 I noticed that the issue has not been solved. Is there a solution? If not the request persists

"Please implement the search in tib files in such a way that the original search function of the windows explorer does not mess up if tib file are in the search path."

Thank you
Wolf

Hello AcroBS,

Thank you for using Acronis Products

The issue doesn’t have resolution at the moment. I would recommend you to use Google Desktop search as temporal workaround. Use the following link

Hello,

looks like I run into something similar with my Acronis TIH2010. I save drives CDEG to my NAS Dive P.
When I do a explorer file search, XP does search in my 200+GB backup files over the network (LAN/WLAN). I disabled searching in ZIP and CAB files by some tool, but so far I did not find a handsome way to exclude *.tib from search. The only way so far is to rename all *.tib to *.tix so they are ignored in search.

Please let me know if there is a switch or hint to disable automatic searching in *.tib files, ThanX.

b.t.w. After searching some GB of *.tib files, the machine is unusable till rebooted. After a the search, the explorer continues swapping for ages (hours).
