Putting single ssd image onto RAID0 setup with True Image

Thread needs solution

Greetings from Australia.

So I recently built myself a gaming rig from scratch. On the advice of many users of other forums, I included an SSD (Crucial m4 256gb). I figured 256gb would be enough for my needs. I was wrong. I have about 30gb left and about 6 games on my wishlist. I don't want to have to uninstall games to make room.

So I'm wondering, can I buy another one of these drives, make an image of my OS/programs on my 2tb storage drive, then make a RAID0 setup with the new drives to have my old stuff plus 200gb+ space for new programs/games? (Basically, will the image of the smaller ''drive'' just work when put on the larger ''drive'')

Is this something people have done before with this program? Would you reccomend it? If the RAID 0 setup is from scratch how do you get around the fact it doesn't have windows on it in the 1st place? Any other thoughts/advice?

I doubt it's relevant, but the rest ofmy setup is: Rampage IV Formula/i7 3930K/Vengance 16gb/Silverstone ST85F-G-E/W7 Pro 64b/WD Black 2tb.

Thanks

Do you already own True Image?

Imaging software can make full disk images and they can be restored to an empty disk by means of a bootable version of the imaging software.

Moving from non-RAID to RAID sometimes is very easy, and sometimes can be tricky.

The image from the single disk can be restored to a RAID array, but correctable boot issues are sometimes experienced.

No I don't. Someone reccomended it to me. A few people have mentioned the boot issues. I might just install the second one seperately.
