Recent purchase of ATI 2013

Thread needs solution

Hi

I only just purchased a copy of True Image 2013 about two months ago. Will there be any discount on the upgrade cost?

You would qualify for the "upgrade" price.

Thanks Tuttle. I was hoping I wouldn't have to pay the full upgrade price as I only just bought the program. If I had known that a new version was about to be launched I wouldn't have bought the 2013 version.

Ian

I think he said; you would qualify for the 'upgrade price'. Not sure if that covers a discount on the actual 'upgrade price' to the likes of me who bought the programme last year?

I can't speak for all users or regions, but I received an e-mail from Acronis Australia with an upgrade offer price for 2014. This might be a regional promotion rather than a worldwide one. But I would see (assuming that your 2013 purchase had been registered with Acronis) if an email wings its way into your inbox, Id' also check the spam box as soemtimes Acronis e-mails end up there.

Hello Everyone,

all information regarding Acronis True Image 2014 upgrade policy you can find in this thread.

Thank you!

Ian,

1. Had you registered your 2013 purchase to your Acronis Account?

2. Did you check the update website and enter your details?

3. Did you get an email from Acronis Australia concerning upgrading, (check your spam box)?

1. Yes.

2. Yes, but I got this message "The serial number is valid, however, we could not locate your order in our database..." As I said in my original message I purchased my copy about two months ago so it's before Acronis' cut off date of six weeks.

3. Yes, it said it will cost another AU$40 to upgrade.

The free upgrade worked for me - got an eMail Acronis saying I was entitled to free upgrade (Like Colin, I'm located in Australia). Followed the process and got the two serial numbers. However, for some reason despite registering these new serial numbers they are not showing up in my list of registered products.

I also have an upgrade to 2014 that I did not purchase; possibly it is the freebie I got as a prize for participating in the beta program. Colin, did you see this also.

Ian

@Ian B,

There was an error with the update website for some people, so maybe if you try it again it will now work for you. Did you purchase online at Acronis or via a retail outlet?

@IanL-S,

Yes, the one that has suddenly appeared in your account is your beta prize, you should also have recieved an email from Acronis with the new serial number.

Colin

It was purchased via Cleverbridge.

My gripe is that because it was purchased only a couple of weeks before the cut off date that Acronis have set (ie 18 July.) I now have to spend another AU$40 to update a program that is only a few weeks old.

Ian,

Maybe the late registering of the 2013 is causing the Acronis database to not have your purchase flagged as one for the special upgrade price. I suggest trying one more time on the upgrade link, and double check all your email addresses for an email from Acronis informing you of the new version and contains which contains a price (if I remember) and a link.

You are aware that you can change the currency selection to US$ if the current conversion rate via your credit card seems better than the Cleverbridge one. This is often the case.

The weird thing is that the email with the licence number for this 'prize' was sent at the same time (to the minute) with the two emails with the serial numbers for 2014 under the purchased within last 6 weeks program. The prize one was pre-registered but not the update ones.

I have tried several times, each time I get a message that the product has been successfully registered and a follow up email, but neither appear in my list of registered product. This is very strange; could it have something to do with no having used the serial numbers when installing a copy of 2013?

I may have to try to install the 2104 and see if activation works properly.

Ian

IanL-S,

If you download the main serials.txt file how many serial appear there for 2014?

Hi Colin B

Yes, that was the first thing I tried. I only one SN for ATI 2014 is listed; a subsequently purchased upgrade from 2013 Plus Pack to ATI Premium Family Pack is listed. It is very strange that despite 3 emails saying both have been registered that neither of the 'free upgrade' SN appear in the list.
