Recorvery to RAID 1

Thread needs solution

I have installed Acronis True Image Home 2012 with the Plus Pack onto my Windows 7 Home Premium.
The motherboard is an Intel D975XBX2 with two raids; Intel Storage and Marvell. I use both.
My Acronis makes succesful backups. I do not see anywhere in the recovery process to add the RAID
drivers. Does this require Acronis Backup/Recovery 11 with Universal Restore?

Thank you,

Does the RAID show up as one of the possible targets? Don't go by disk letter--those may be assigned differently when using the bootcd than when you boot up in windows. Use disk size or vol id or other identifier to determine volumes.

Do the hard disk that make up the RAID show up as single disk rather than a single logical (RAID) disk? IF so, or if they don't show up at all, then that means the linux drivers on the bootCD aren't adequate for your hardware. Acrnis used to provide isos for alternate bootCDs with diff driver sets but I'm not sure it does that anymore.

alternatively, with the Plus Pack you could make a winPE disk which could use the same drivers win uses on your machine, so you wouldn't have any driver issues. Before going through the extra cost of the Plus Pack, you might to try free samples of other progs although you'd have to unistall one before installing the other since backup progs often won't be neighborly -- or at least download the iso from the acronis web site for the bootcd -- this sometimes has a slightly diff driver set and might work for you.
