Recovery CD hangs up

Thank you for opening the thread regarding this question.

Have you tried to recreate the bootable media in the following way:

1. Download the latest updated ISO from your account
2. Burn it onto the CD according to these instructions

This should help. If it doesn't, please obtain Acronis Linux Report and send it to us for investigation.

I am using the CD burned from the ISO in my account. I get the same results. In playing around with the keyboard I happened to press the number 8 key (in the number line across the top of the keyboard) and up popped the Acronis rescue program, with an active mouse. I immediatly restarted and when I came to the flashing cursor I pressed the number 8 again and nothing happened. I then started pressing each key in sequence, starting at number 1, and when I reached number 5 key the program again started.

I have now tried this a number of times and the program always starts between the numbers 5 and 8. If this sounds strange thats because it is,
but until something better comes along I'll stick with this solution. I should mention, also, that this is a new computer that I setup just over a week ago so there should not be a great number of conflicts.
