I'm trying to restore a backup that I saved on an external HD. The computer does not see the USB HD when booting with the rescue CD. I'm restoring a laptop and therefore cannot slave another HD. Is my only option to place the backup on the laptop C: drive and perform the recovery? Is there a later version of the software that supports a USB drive?
Ideally I want the laptop HD wiped clean and then the recovery done.
Does the recovery process wipe the HD clean ensuring that all viruses are gone?
