remove archive record for missing external drive
I backed up to an external drive which has failed but the backups still show up in the TI 'recovery' tab. How do I remove these records?

Hi,
Sorry to take so long to reply; thought I'd set an alert to tell me when someone reponded - obviously didn't do so.
I'm on TI Home 2010 6053 (latest release).
I've tried a right click and remove with no luck, the entry just remains stubbornly in place...

Please retry.
Go to the Recovery console and browse to the entry.
And as MudCrab wrote in post #2, Right click and choose remove. If there are multiple entries, you will have to do the repeat the remove for each entry. The failed external drive should not be attached.

Hi,
Will do. Just in the final stages of fixing the display on the offending laptop (why is it never just 1 thing that goes wrong...). Will get back to you soon. Pretty sure that's what I did before but I'll give it another go.
Cheers,

Hi,
OK... Right click on the file I want removed, left click on 'Remove', wait for the confirmation dialogue, click on 'delete', see confirmation that the operation was succesful..
and the record for the file is still there....
again...
Any thoughts?
I'm getting to the point that an uninstall and reinstall is on the cards but that's a ridiculous thing to do to solve would should be a simple issue.
Thanks,
David

Just realised my initial post could be misinterpreted. The backup was fine, it's the external drive which has failed - just in case you thought otherwise.
Cheers,

I remove the backup archive accidentally through Acronis True Image Home 2010 . How can I undo the operation?
Thank you
