Remove necessity for permission to run

Thread needs solution

Can someone please tell me how to get my incremental backups to run automatically?
A couple of months ago, I had to find out why they weren't, and to have it explained that the "credentials" password requested in schedule set-up is simply the Windows account logon password. Having created an entirely new backup and incremental scheduling with that properly input, or so I thought, I was dismayed to find that the incrementals were still not running. I have since been through the entire process twice, with the same result. The only explanation I can come up with, is that I have missed something, somewhere, that says, "Run without requiring credentials." However, I cannot find it.
I have been using Acronis for over six years, and it was only after I got W7 and Acronis 2010 that the application has caused one headache after the next. While I appreciate that Acronis is a exceptionally complex tool (as proven by the instruction manual), I can't understand why such a leading company marketing to the average home user would not have resolved such basic issues prior to release.

Hi Philip

I would suggest posting your question in the home products forum section; you have posted it in the business section of the forum by mistake. The home and business product ranges are completely different and to ensure you get an accurate answer posting this question in the home forum section would be beneficial.

Not knowing the home edition it’s hard to comment but I would suggest doing the standard practices of ensuring you have the latest version/build of the product. You can do this by logging into your Acronis account and checking the ‘my products & downloads’ section.

Also whilst you are logged in you can also use the ‘My support requests’ link to contact Acronis support about the issue you are having.

All the best.
