Remove password of backup file

Thread needs solution

I made a backup file with password protected and now doing file copying from the explorer. By default I have to type in the password in order to browse the backup content, when I start to copy the files, it seems it request password by time to time, do I need to typing the password when copy each folder or after a period of time? Is it possible to permanently remove the password. I am using the TI2010 for backup and restore.

Also a bad experience, when copying lot of files from the backup file through the explorer. The first time I access the protected .tib, it prompt for password entry. I start to copy a folder with many sub-folders, it size over several GB. The copy was stop or only empty folders were copied. Now I restore the file through the recovery program. I think it is not a good experience if copying huge size of files from explorer.

If it's a partition image backup, you could try Mounting it and see if that works better for copying out files/folders.

As far as I know, there is no way to remove the password unless you restore it and then back it up again without one.
