Removing Backups from Recemt Baclkups

Thread needs solution

I have several backups in my 2010 Recent Backups window which point to tib files no longer on my hard disk. I would like to remove them. Can someone tell me how to rid Recent Backups of them?

Thank you

Do they go away if you rename the database.xml file to database.OLD in this folder and then launch ATI?

C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database

Thank you Pat.

I don't seem to have a database.xml file in ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImagehome\Database. There are two other xml file there -- Archives.xml and mounted.xml. I renamed them to "old" and launched ATI. They were still there.

Further, I noticed 149 Unscheduled Tasks in Tasks and Logs>Unscheduled Tasks. I can,of course, delete them one by one but wonder if there is a way 'select all' and then delete?

Thanks again.

I don't know of a way to delete them one by one.
If renaming the archives.xml (my mistake, it was not database.xml) doesn't rid ATI of the recent backups, here is what I would try if I had 2010 installed now (I don't).
- create a system and partition backup,
- use the registry editor and look for the each string corresponding to the recent backup names. Hopefully, ATI 2010 stores its MRU in the registry,
- delete the MRU keys from the registry if you find them. If you find keys that are not clearly labeled as MRU, or "recent backups", or somethign of that nature, don't take the risk...
