Rescue Media Files Different on CD than Flash Drive

Thread needs solution

I created a bootable CD using Acronis, and also used Acronis to use a flash drive as the bootable media. I notice that Acronis created several extra files on the flash drive in addition to the Recovery Manager folder which are not included on the CD. Is this normal? (I created a 2nd CD to make certain it wasn't an error, but it saved the exact same files.)

I've attached the Windows Explorer views of the all the files. For the flash drive, I opened the Recovery Manager folder so you can view its contents on the right.

Gregg:

The files on the CD are in a hidden area that is not viewable from Windows. That's normal and related to the way that a CD boots. There are probably some utilities that will let you view the boot areas of a CD, but I'm not very familiar with how the CD boot process works.

Thanks, Mark, for this info.

I had the thought afterward posting this that I can just test both media to make certain I can get in the True Image interface when I boot from them.
