RESOLVED: event code 0x013C0005 using Acronis True Image Home 2012
(moved to this forum at Colin's request).
OS Win Vista Home Premium, using Acronis True Image Home 2012, Update 2 (build 7087). Scheduled backup of non-system drive partition (backup of files and folders) started failing with Scheduled Backup "Operation has completed with errors" event code 0x013C0005 approximately 4 weeks ago. I cannot locate any information regarding this event code or how to troubleshoot the cause. When I double-click the backup file (.tib), I am able to open files that were modified just before the scheduled backup, so it appears as if the backup may be occurring, but I cannot trust a backup that does not complete with any message other than "Operation has succeeded".
Does anyone have any idea about the problem indicated by the event code and/or how to resolve this issue, so I can trust my backups?
I have attached a log of today's backup. There were no errors in the Windows Application log. I also attached a pdf of one error found in the Win System log. There were no errors in the other Win logs. I do not recall any change to my system on Jan 16 (the last day that the backup log indicates that it completed successfully), but there may have been OS updates or updates to one or more programs.
Thanks in advance for any assistance with this.

Event code 0x013C0005 error was resolved by using the manual validation process.
Thank you, James, you were correct in your problem analysis and advice and I appreciate your taking the time to provide assistance. I resolved the problem yesterday afternoon and my backup completed successfully this morning. I first selected the option to validate the backup archive. Seven messages appeared in sequence "Validating all versions of the backup archive. Version # (7 - 1) could not be located". In each case, I selected the option to ignore the sequence version and proceed. After a time, the process completed with the message "The backup is valid". This morning, the scheduled backup process began with the message "The backup is valid" in the status window.
Somehow, the first seven backup files were not being recognized, causing the event code and error message. Even though I had validation "on" as part of the scheduled backup, it could not fix itself and remove the errant files from it's records, however the manual validation process did.
Just to be safe, I will create a new scheduled backup in a different folder and, after a time when I no longer may need accuss to the current backup files, delete the existing one.
