[Resolved] Tech removed my Acronis 2010 and now I am left with empty partition? and low free space on main Drive.
Hello, I have a problem. The tech removed my Acronis 2010 for me at my request, on my older xpsp3 laptop.
I thought that would give me the space back to the original 80 gig drive, however my C drive still shows 33 gig with free 11.4 gig and used 22.1.
I would like the free space that is sitting there to be back into my main "C" drive.
How is this done?
I would appreciate any advice by experienced users.
Thx for your time,
Regards.

Hello Barb Bobb,
Thank you for posting your question in our forum.
Unfortunately, you have not written, how you have used the missed space. I am assuming you have used it for Acronis Secure Zone. If yes, you have to delete this Acronis Secure Zone first to free up the disk space. You can follow this article from our knowledge base.
Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Thank you.

Thx so very much for sharing your knowledge. I apologize for not making myself clearer....yes indeed it is the Acronis Secure Zone that I am referencing.
I had the Acronis 10 removed b/c my end user ability to successfully do incrementals was not what was needed to be confident that I indeed had a clone of my drive.
It seemed to me that the application had accomplished what I neede and when I had it checked by our office tech, all I had was the "original back up" and no incrementals.
I tried Norton Ghost before Acronis and that was too complicated for me and it seems that I am not really in the know with Acronis as well, and so I am just doing backups of files on Seagate ext. hdd with their software Dashboard and have to be satisfied with that.
I really wanted a cloned drive in case of a crash but if I am not doing it properly there is no point.
Thank you once again for your reply.
Cudos, now I can fix that issue and my tech at the office will be interested in the solution as well.
