Restoration of System partition - impact on access to backup file information
I run Rollback RX on my computer. This allows me to restore my system partition to the exact, sector-by-sector configuration of a specific point in time in the past, but after doing this, the information that TI has about my backups will no longer be current. Let's assume that I have started running a specific True Image incremental backup of my system drive C: (using partition backup, not file by file) 7 days ago. So, by today, I have the 1st full image and 6 incremental backups for a total of 7 backup files. If I rollback my system partition to 3 days ago, my 7 backup files still exist on my external drive, but now the Acronis True Image information that is on the system drive is only current through the first 4 backup files. It does not know that the last 3 incremental backups even took place. My guess is that True Image is not capable of rebuilding this information by scanning the existing backup files that are on the external drive- or is it? (I assume not, since the help files say not to delete backup files from within Windows Explorer.) If TI is not able to rebuild the information, then I would assume that I could backup some files from the system partition before I rollback and then restore these files after the rollback. These are some the possible paths where these files might reside:
C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\
C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Acronis\
C:\Users\UserName\AppData\
or maybe just need to restore this file
C:\ProgramData\Acronis\TrueImageHome\Database\archives.xml
...but this is just my guess.
Does anyone know the best way to deal with this scenario?
Thanks

Thanks GroverH.
It seems that, if possible, manually backing up and then restoring the current information TI has about the backups and tasks would be easier. This would also restore information about tasks that are backing up partitions other than the system as well as file backups. Also, what about NSB? Won't the ability to restore from NSB no longer exist for any NSB backups that occurred after the time the restored image was taken?
I guess a good portion of my confusion lies in the fact that I don't fully understand how and where TI stores information about backup chains and the NSB. I wold imagine that there are a few files/folders that store this data and copying them back after the partition restore would make it so the TI now does again know of all the backups.
Thanks for any ideas.

Most certainly, anytime you restore your system to a prior time, it effects all future backups as the data on the comptuer is now different.
I don't use NSB so have no comments regarding its use or implications.
The Acronis file folders have Scripts and the history file in its DATABASE folder. The program also uses the Registry for storage of settings and user configuration info.
