Restore Differential Backup - specify volume location error
Hi there,
I am trying to restore a differential backup where I have copied the latest full and differential backup from the backup storage location onto an external hard drive.
When I boot into the Acronis loader on the new pc it recognises both the full and differential backup.
If I try to restore the differential backup I get multiple specify the volume location errors and I cannot restore the backup however the latest full backup seems to pass that and looks to be restoring ok.
I have read in the forum about incremental backups having meta info about the versions is this the same for differential? Is this stored in the backup location along with the backups?
What I need to do - restore the latest differential backup from an external hard drive where the backups are copied from the original backup location (as I cannot move the backup location and I cant copy all the differential files as combined they are too big). If it is this meta data, is there a way i can copy that also to the external drive so Acronis can find the info it needs?
This is quite urgent so any help would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Ben,
Can your confirm that you are using version 11 or do you mean you are using version 2011. Both are different versions and version information can be found in the help/about area.
