Hello,

I created a backup of my pc using the My Computer option in the "data to back up" selection section of the program.  I have noticed that I am having some problems with my pc and would like to restore my pc to this back up.  However, I am not sure if doing so will in fact return my pc to the way it was when I made that back up and I am not exactly sure of how to do this.

Could someone please be so kind as to tell me if restoring the pc with the backup will in fact return the pc to the way it was when I made that back up (do not want to use the system restore since that has not been working properly).

I have acronis true image 2009 and am running windows vista home premium with sp2 (32bit version)

 Thank You So Very Much

yes it will return it the way it was. you can also use the try and decide option this way if you don't like it you can go back. also if you can make a back now so if you forget something just back into your backup and copy past it (documents) to the desk top.

hope this helps Bob

You don't say where the image file is stored. Boot from the rescue CD and make sure you can see the backup file (.tib) before attempting to carry out a restore.

Read GroverH guides from this link at number 7 forum.acronis.com/forum/3426 if you are unsure how to carry out a restore.
