Restored RAID 1 HDD not booting into Windows XP PRO SP3
Hello,
I restored a RAID 1 SATA 320GB HDD that had been trashed and reformatted and it is not booting into windows.
The crashed HDD was reformatted with the original Windows XP PRO SP3 SW. The computer booted into the Re-Formatted HDD in RAID ON mode with no issues. Acronis 10 was then installed on this HDD (I have Acronis Home 12) then using it, I restored a Acronis Home 10 Backup *.tib-main drive partition and the MRB Partition.
After what looked like a successful restore, If I attempt to boot the system, it continuously cycles into the RAID 1 BIOS Boot screen, never getting to Windows.
If I use the F12 Key and boot into the RAID Volume, I get the below error message.
Windows could not start because of a computer disk hardware configuration problem. Could not read from selected boot disk. Check boot path and disk hardware. Please check the windows documentation about hardware disk configuration and your hardware reference manual for additional information.
The drive checks OK in the Boot Diagnostics. Attaching the HDD to another computer, it appears that all the files are there and that the partition is OK and at least readable as I can see the files and open files.
What else am I missing? Should I try the restore with a Restore CD Instead?
Is it a problem if I restore the MRB partition as well as the main partition??
Any and all assistance greatly appreciated..
