Right click crashes Windows Explorer - due to Acronis TIH 2013

Thread needs solution

Windows 7 Pro 32-bit

I had a problem where I was unable to use the context menu in Windows Explorer, any attempt to do so crashed Windows Explorer.

I tracked the problem down to two empty registry keys:
HKCR\*\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers\{C539A15A-3AF9-4c92-B771-50CB78F5C751} and HKCR\Folder\ShellEx\ContextMenuHandlers\{C539A15A-3AF9-4c92-B771-50CB78F5C751}

Apparently these two keys are introduced by the ATIH 2013 installer.

I deleted these two keys, and the problem went away. I reproduced the problem by reinstalling ATIH 2013, and the same condition returned. Deleting the keys solved the problem again.

Which build # ?

There were some Windows Explorer issues that appeared for some users (including me) with the earlier/first build of ATI 2013, but I understand the fix was to have been incorporated into the latest build.

Thank you, sorry not to have specified the build, which is 6514, i.e. the latest.
