Run at system startup with delay setting ignored.

Thread needs solution

True Image 2014 build 6673 sync agent 17,0,0,1877.

I have a differential partition backup scheduled to run daily at 07:30, but in the advanced schedule options I have ticked the box under "Missed backup:" "Run at system startup with delay (in minutes):" and set it to 10.

This parameter seems to be ignored because when I boot the system after 07:30 it always rune the backup without the delay.

What am I doing wrong? Perhaps I don't understand the purpose of this option.

Thanks.

I also have True Image 2014 build 6673 sync agent 17,0,0,1877. OS is Windows 8.1 64-bit.

I am running an incremental disk backup on a daily schedule and can confirm that the delay value for the Missed backup: Run at system startup with delay (in minutes) option is being ignored at system startup.

Please can anyone advise or explain?

... not only is the delay value ignored at startup, the backup runs as soon as Windows 8.1 loads, before any user has logged in. Is this normal/correct? I have configured the scheduled backup in my user login (the only administrator user on this PC) and would not expect Acronis to run until I login.

Recheck the Advanced setting and scroll to the bottom of the screen and
make sure "Run when extternal disk attached." is unchecked.

This is a setting which is not visible unless you scroll all the way down.

Sorry, where is the "Run when external disk attached." option, I don't see it anywhere?

See attached capture was what I was referring to.

Check to see if your task scheduler settings is set this manner.

I'm using Acronis True Image 2014 build 6673 and it looks nothing like your attached capture.

Please can you advise further?

My signature link #2-A has these options listed in figure 07. All of 2-A is specific to 2014.

The content of the scheduler is pretty much the same in all recent versions.

OK, my ATI 2014 Premium does not have the "Run when external disk attached" under the Schedule Advanced settings (see attachment).

The storage disk must be attached and recognized in order for the option to be listed.
Remember, the settings at the bottom relate to a "missed" backup.
This option may? also be available only during the initial creation of the task.

The scheduler "upon event" has other options as it relates to normal starting of the program with delays.

The storage disk I am backing up is the Windows 8.1 64-bit boot/OS C: drive, so is always attached.

I am creating a new disk backup as I type and the option DOES NOT exist.

Your comments.
1. My refence to the storage disk is relating to the target/usually enternal/storage disk which contains the backups.
What type diskl are you using to store the backup within?

2. My reference is that the option may only exist during the initial creation of the "TASK" which created PRIOR to the backup.

My source disk is a Samsung 250GB SSD, with my Windows 8 64-bit OS partition and recovery partition. This disk is backed up daily to a 2TB RAID 1 local disk.

In my current backup task there is no "Run when external disk attached" option. Also, if I create a new backup task, prior to backing up, I still do not get a "Run when external disk attached" option.

For that optiion to appear, the target disk must be USB EXTERNAL DISK.

Is your 2T Raid a usb type disk?

If you delay is still not occurring, I don't know what more I can assist.
