Saving new backup or Saving Backup Settings very slow.
Anyone having this issue? Every time I set up a new backup job and at the end, select "Run Later", - OR - whenever I edit backup settings on a job and then "save" it, ATIH 2013 seems to hang for 10-15 seconds and (Not Responding) appears in the window header. Eventually it returns control, but this seems excessive. Previous versions did not have this behavior.
Any ideas why this might be happening? Or how to correct? Or is it just the way this build works. I'm running on Win7-64 and Acronis is installed on the "C" drive with all other programs and OS. The "C" drive is a SSD. So it should be pretty fast.

Wow quick response. :)
In most cases they are on a QNAP NAS system referenced by \\NAS01\Backups\Acronis\Partition\...
Thanks.

I don't have a NAS to test with, but a friend of mine is using a WD World Book as a backup destinaton. When he sets his jobs up they seem to take longer to appear in his list also (but not as long as you describe). Maybe it has to do with the authentication process 2013 is using. You may want to contact support and have them investigate this issue with you. Have you made backups to your NAS with 2013 yet?

Backups to the NAS work fine. I just took one of my test backups that used the NAS as the backup location and changed the settings to location F:\MyBackups - a local HDD. When I click save, the Job menu screen returns instantly, but the "Location: " still shows the \\NAS00\....... location for about 5 or 6 seconds... Then it changes to "F:\Mybackups\". DUring that period, I cannot highlight a different backup job, or get any response from menus, etc. Its like its doing something in the background and I just have to wait for it to be done. Acronis doesn't pop up a message anywhere saying "Job Saved". You just have to assume it did it. Its pretty strange.

Try disabling your anitvirus software momentarily and test it again.

Why is it so long, more and more (4 h now !) with True Image 2013, to save a simple 10 Go repertory from My documents under Win XP SP3?
