so i thought i would try your true image. it also fails. the archive passes validation. i have 2 different servers i am trying to restore. One was made with an older version of diskwizard. using a computer that still has that old version installed, i am able to restore it just fine. using the same archive file. with your newest version of diskwizard or trueimage 2013 it fails
the archive for the second server i am trying to restore was created with your newest version of diskwizard. it is not recognized as a valid archive with your old diskwizard version.
so i'm stuck. This happens on 2 computers running newest version of diskwizard. Have only tried trueimage on 1 computer

Ryan,

I realise this will not sound helpful :)

You need to contact Seagate about DiskWizard problems as they have made alterations to the Acronis product, it is also based on an older version of True Image, version 2009.

As far as True Image is concerned, does it allow the image to be mounted or explored? The archive format has changed since TI 2009, and whilst 2013 can read True Image 2009 archives, I'm unsure about those made by Disk Wizard.

If you have purchased 2013 and are still within your 30 day support period, I would recommend raising a support ticket with Acronis.

Thanks for the comment! just noticed it now.
fortunately, I didn't purchase trueimage, the trial was enough to show me that purchasing would only be a let down. I tried to find some kind of presales tech support on the issue, but just hit dead ends.
I am able to mount the old images and explore, ect. but i'm not too familiar with Linux, especially boot partitions, files, so personally it doesn't do me much good. I really needed something that would just restore the disk without goofing around to get me back up and running in no time flat.
I guess i'll have to stick to Seagate drives and an old version of diskwizard.
Thanks
