Secure Zone: using and changing partition size

Thread needs solution

I'm a bit confused about what the Secure Zone is for. Should I be placing backups inside of it?

Also, if I change the size of the SZ partition, will this damage the files in other partitions on the same hard drive?

Hello Anthony,

Let me shed some light on your concerns.

1. Acronis Secure Zone is just a partition on hard drive that can be accessed only by Acronis software. This was made to keep you backups in secure place. You can also set a password to have an additional protection for your backup archives.

2. You can resize Acronis Secure Zone without damaging any files on the other partition and in the Secure Zone itself.

Please reply to this thread if you have any additional questions.

Thank you.

How do you resize increase the secure zone? When I do it it creates a new partition. It does not increase the existing secure zone? Windows 8.1, acronis 2015

I believe the TI recovery CD will also perform this chore.
