Selective Ghosting Import
Hi,
I may have to do a system recovery of my Windows 7 due to some registry issues.
Is there a way to import the many programs and applications I have on my Acronis backup drive without having to RE-INSTALL them? In other words, recover selectively...rather than the image of the complete computer?
Thanks
Marc

. I don't understand what you mean by a Windows limitation Again...let's say I get a new computer with all its factory settings. Then I want to recover from my TI2013 files just the programs I ghosted onto that backup drive. Is this possible?

No. I understand what you're asking. The answer is "no".
You can recover your entire system, but that would replace the new PC's OS with the backup's OS.
You can recover your user data from the backup, restoring it to the new PC.
You cannot recover installed applications without recovering the whole OS. That is a Windows limitation.
Windows installed applications are not just a few files; they involve multiple entries in places such as the Windows Registry, dlls, etc. So, you can't do what you ask.
