Set Default NOT to schedule

Thread needs solution

I'd like the default for all backups to be No Automatic Schedule. Is there a way to do that? Thank you.

Once you create a task use the Backup Now option. Do not click on the Schedule option. The default is non scheduled.

When creating a backup task, the user must intervene into the settings and make changes so the task saved will be a non-scheduled task. This is the only method to prevent the new task from being a scheduled task. See item #GH3 below.

Thank you both, but that doesn't help. I backup multiple drives (individually) to multiple removable and internal drives. For example, I will back up c: drive to a second internal hd and two external drives. Ditto d: drive, e: drive, etc. I use single (full) format backups as opposed to incremental. So if I understand your instructions correctly, I'd have to create a separate task for each type of backup. That's just not a user friendly solution.

I would like the ability to defeat the default to scheduled backups. I've been using True Image for many years and never had this issue with previous versions (I just upgraded from TI 2012).

Allan,
2014 brought new defaults so that each new task will be a scheduled task UNLESS within the new task, you click on
as illustrated in my GH3 link above. It IS possible to save each new task as a Non-scheduled task but it needs for you intereact and change the settings to "Do not schedule PLUS SAVE THE TASK USING THE "LATER" OPTION. See link GH3.

Each backup to a different target will need it own backup task. TI mates the task and the target ID so each task becomes an individual unit.
You can include multiple sources but only one destination within each task.

Grover,

Thanks for clarifying the non-schedule, my wording was less than desired but you cleared it up nicely.

Again, thanks Grover --- and that is what I understood your first post to mean. While I understand the process, as I said it is not user friendly. It's fine for those who backup one or two drives to one or two destinations. But for (forgive the expression) "power users" it is not in the least bit utile. I purchased a three license package to upgrade 3 of my 6 systems, but will likely revert to TI 2012 which had a much more intuitive interface.

Anyway, I very much appreciate the response(s).
