Settings Change To Do Not Schedule

Thread needs solution

My daily backup schedule keeps changing on it's own to Do Not Schedule. I've tried recreating it with no luck. (ATI2015 Build6525 Win7 Enterprise)

Has anyone else seen this?

And short of a full re-install, is there a way to COMPLETELY remove all prior/existing backup settings and schedules. The only thing I can think of is that the original saved setting was corrupted and every time I go to recreate it the old settings are re-stored.

Thanks.

Pete,

Here is a link to the 2015 TI cleanup utility which I would suggust you run. Note this utility has some text "common" instructions which the user needs to do. This will wipe anything of Acronis from your system. This 2015 link can be found in my signature link 4.

You hve indicated this problem exists from as far back as February and that followed a clean install of 2015. Either you had residual carryovers from prior installations or possibly a poor installation. Either way, I don't know of any good solution other than to use the cleanup utility.

Running the cleaning will require all new tasks. One practice I make is to never use the same task name twice and to always use a different name for the storage folder so none of my tasks have any relationship to prior tasks. Once task created, I never edit any changes to the task and always let it run with the original settings. If corrections needed, I stop using the old task and create a new task with a new name and a new folder and remove the old task from the listings. While the program permits editing of an existing task, rarely ever is the resulting task changes do what the user expected the edits to accomplish. I have found the quickest solution to get a task that works is to just start over with a new task and stop using the one which does not work.

In several of my responses to your postings, I have offered sample backup schemes. I don't know the type scheme you are using but these past responses may be of assistance.

As a security precaution, Before running any cleanup program, I would suggest you have a current/validated full backup of your system.
