Some of the problems being seen with TI 2013 and Windows 8 did not show themselves during beta testing using either W8 RP or W8 RTM (prerelease).

There is a workaround for the COM Surrogate problem. As posted in other threads, currently Linux (which True Image uses to recover images) has a problem with machines that uses Secure Boot and UEFI BIOS'. If your system is a Win 8 native one, then you will need to first of all use the recovery CD to recover your image (it is a good idea to always use the recovery CD if recovering the OS of a system), then enter the BIOS to disable Secure Boot and change the UEFI to Legacy mode, this will allow the Linux to boot the system.

After recovery, change the BIOs back to UEFI and switch the Secure Boot back on.

As no machines using Secure Boot were available during testing (apart those for OEM manufacturers themselves) this couldn't be easily tested during beta testing of either W8 or 2013.
