Shutdown after backup
True Image 2015 build 6055.
When I first looked at this I'm sure there was a tick box for "Shutdown after backup completes". I can't find it now. Where should I look ???

I see it now - it's only available after i start a manual backup.
So how do I arrange for an automatic shutdown after the backup completes?

When you create a NEW task where you choose what/when/where about the new task/ backup,
under the disk backup options/advanced column, there is the optioin to include the shutdown as part of the normal task settings.
This option is along with the validate and comments and pre/post commands option.
There are other methods should that option not work.
Note: there is no listing of commands for the Pre/post commands.
This mostly involves the use of batch commands or executing a batch command.
The link below is one example of how to use the pre/post commands to perform an automatic shutdown such as if the new task shutdown option does not work correctly.

This is Acronis True Image 2015 build 6055 - bought as the 3-user version for Mac and PC.
There is no "New task" function. I see "Add Backup". I select the Source - then OK. Then select Destination - I select "Acronis Cloud", then OK. I see "Backup Now". Or, under "Options" there are tabs:
Schedule - advanced Settings - nothing about shutdown
Notifications - deals with emails - nothing about shutdown
Exclusions - files I want to exclude - nothing about shutdown
Advanced - cloud cleanup, encryption key, performance - nothing about shutdown
There is nothing like you describe for validate or pre/post commands
I think you must be looking at a different product. Or I have missed some other option that gives access to the features you describe?

None of my references relate to Cloud backups--only local backups. If you question relates to Cloud, I cannot help you.
For backups and tasks to your local drive/local storage----------------------
Regarding my post #3. That specific link was an example of how to use the Pre/post command and is applicable to 2015 Pre/Post options.
The 2015 help section along the left margin can help.
Here is a link relating to the Shutdown options.
The shutdown options is located along the bottom of this picture. Not all options are shown in the picture.
The shutdown and performance options do appear on the screen when viewed for real on your computer.

My question DOES relate to cloud backups, so I understand you cannot help.
Is there somebody who knows about the cloud option, who can explain how to find all these useful features such as shutdown after backup completes, or pre/post commands, please?
While we're at it, is there an option so that the user is not prompted about the failure to back up open files? This is for a really naive user, and teaching her about these things will be a nightmare. I want the backup to complete without user intervention. If a file is not backed up because the user is editing it, then it will be backed up next day ...
