Silent non-stop backup?

I have searched for this but not found a specific answer in the forums - apologies if I missed it.

I want Non-Stop Backup of my laptop *but only when it successfully finds my NAS when I rejoin my home network*.

When I am at work it will fail because it cannot find the target volume and that's ok - I just don't want to be informed about it every time it happens.

So what I am looking for is Silent Non-Stop Backup -

a) No notifications if it doesn't find the right network drive
b) Automatic resume of non-stop backup when it joins my home network and finds the NAS

I have non-stop backup working today, it just complains when I am at work and I want to stop the notifications while still allowing the backups to continue automatically when they can, i.e. similar to Time Machine behavior on the Mac.
