Single backup not deleted first so not enough free space

Thread needs solution

I have a setup for single backup where the last backup is to be replaced. Since the backup takes up most of the space on the drive it should be deleted first and then backup start. That is how I have done it in the past. However this setup only allow one backup and then no longer functions because the old backup is taking up free space. What setting have I missed? Is there a bug in ATIH 2012 regarding this matter?

Harry,

By default, ATI will always first finish a new full, before erasing any existing backup (full, full+incr, or full+diff).

You can write a batch command file to erase the full before ATI starts the task.

this did not used to be the case. In the past and in other setups where I use this software, it erases the backup first. Is there no setting for this?

Not to my knowledge. What version of ATI did you use that was accomplishing this?
