startup recovery manager not working

Thread needs solution

I installed True Image 2013 (build 6514) on my new Acer laptop (model V3 771G-9809), running Windows 8 64bit. I was able to boot using the recovery cd I made, after I disabled secure boot and enabled legacy mode. That worked ok, except my logitech wireless mouse didn't work so I had to plug in a wired mouse instead. How do I get my wireless mouse to work?

I also selected the option to install the "startup recovery manager" to the hard drive. I've used this feature in previous versions of Windows without problem. But it's not working on this computer with Windows 8. Secure boot is turn off . The boot order is set so the acronis loader loads 1st. But all I get is a blank black screen. No loading messages, just a blank screen. How do I fix this problem?

Philip,

There is a known problem with the Linux kernel in build 6514 and wireless keyboards and mice. Until Acronis come up with a fix, your only option is to disable the ASRM and use the recovery CD for build 5551 to boot your system if you need to recover an image.
