Stupid question on restores using 2010
Thread needs solution
Hi folks,
I'm a user of Acronis True Image Home 2010. I recently had a SSD drive fail, and it's going to take me 2 weeks to get a replacement.
This is an incredibly noob-ish question, but I've never actually had to restore before using Acronis:
I have an image of my failed 64GB SSD drive. Can I safely restore this image to another completely unrelated drive that could fit all of the data, like a 200GB regular ol' disk drive? Or, would the image only be viable on a comparable drive?
Again, sorry for what may be a silly question, but I couldn't find the answer to this after some searching.
Thanks,
Steve

Steve,
There shouldn't be any problems restoring to a different drive as long as it's large enough to hold the restored image.
