'Successfully restored' files do not appear

Thread needs solution

My computer lost a folder, so I went to my daily backup to restore it. (I've done this with no problem in the past.) When I look at the archive, it shows the folder and files all there. TIH says the restore is successful, but neither Windows Explorer nor Word can find the folder. I tried rebooting after restore, using a different .tib archive, using a different location for the restore, restoring a single file, and restoring the whole drive. None of these worked. Either the restore is 'successful' but nothing shows up, or TIH hangs and closes. Any suggestions would be welcome - thanks.

Rather than use the Restore procedure, try using the Explore feature (or optionally the Mounting procedure)

Using the Explore feature, one way would be to
1. Browse the Windows Explorer to the *tib file containing the older.
2. Right click on the backup archive and choose the Explore option.
3. Browse inside the backup to the folder location.
4. Then drag & drop the folder from the backup into a totally new folder location
(security issues may be causing some of your difficulties)
